I have bought six plus
"I have bought six plus different types of Taos sandals, 2 pairs of slip on tennis shoes, and now a pair of ankle tennis shoes arriving tomorrow. I have arthritic knees, so I need good arch support. Right out of the box, there's no need to break any of their sandals in. The tennis shoes do run small, so I suggest sizing up a half size. However the sandals run true to size."
Disappointing
"I’m really disappointed. I have tried for a month to break them in, something I’ve never had to do with Taos sandals. The leather straps are so hard that that they cut into my foot. So I tried wearing socks with them around the house to no avail. My daughter even tried to help me break them in by wearing them. Most unfortunately I bought them on sale so they are not returnable."
Love the shoes, I have
"Love the shoes, I have wide feet and high arches ,the velcro closure is perfect and the straps fit great across the top of my foot. I'm very pleased with them. I love the toe loop style on other styles but the loops are way too small if you have large big toe."

"I ordered these sandals in black and tan to replace old knock-about sandals. These sandals definitely are a great replacement. The tan pair were soft and had the “broken in feel” right away. The black pair took a day or two to break in. (Im guessing due to the leather staining technique) My feet love both pair."
Too many straps, front edge cuts into tops of my feet
"Although they look cute in the photo, they look a little too strappy in person, and the style is allllmost a little too old lady for me. My biggest problem with them is that the front strap has sharp edges and cut into the tops of my feet when I walk. I got some moleskin to see if I can cushion the front strap. I bought these on sale so I can’t return them, so if that doesn’t work, I’ll be taking them to the cobbler to see if he can help."
