"I wanted these shoes because I needed non-sandals two or three months yearly. The rest of the year I wear Taos Luckie sandals most of the time. Nice fit, convenient zipper for easy on and off, well-constructed. I like the fit of the insole--molded for my foot, as much as possible, given one is wonky due to a knee issue."
Give these a chance - extremely comfortable and functional, they look better on than not!
"These are really good black leather shoes that will securely fit on your feet and support you all day long regardless of what you are doing. Frankly my Mother hated them in the store, but I worked at a shoe store years ago and know that very often shoes with a heavy looking or bulky sole always look heavier before you put them on. When you put them on the sole is far less prominent and is not nearly as heavy looking, if you can try them on in a store I would do so. Still couldn't sell my Mom on these even though they are exactly what she needs, but I did sell them to two ladies next to me in the store! They were looking at them and hovering as I was talking to my Mom, I looked at them and said trust me, put these on and then look at them in the mirror."

"Sorry. I really liked them but I have a high arch, even though I have flat feet. Way too tight over my foot. No way could I zip them up. I have other Taos shoes, a shoe, not like a boot, that are probably the most comfortable shoe I have ever had. They are old, but still feel & look great."

"The shoe is exactly what I wanted, but the shoe box was too tight. So I returned them. A half size bigger would be too big as my heal would move up as I walked."
