The wool scratches my skin on the top edge of the shoe if I wear them without socks. That said, they are warm, solid and comfortable. I expect that they will much last better than previous slippers."

But I also have a high instep, and after a few hours the tightness across the top of the arch becomes uncomfortable. A little more give in the elastic would ease this. But it's a fairly unique problem as my feet are really hard to fit, so I really appreciate a shoe that is wide enough and provides in the right places - plus warm and pretty,"
